Hello world!

Just a little update from the Molly household!!

Tez has left school.  She's now officially on study leave.  She's got exams for the next 8 weeks then the end of August she starts her A levels.  It seems odd.  I remember taking photos of her in her first school uniform!!  Now she's grown up and looking for a job!!

I'm busy studying too. I've got my exam in September and it's cong round too fast!  My grades are OK so far.  I'm struggling with the chemistry side but Tez is helping me!! 

I did have some very bad news that has shaken me up.  My friend was murdered.  We weren't close friends but we were mates.  What's worse is one of the girls who did it went to school with my niece.  She says she parted company with her because she fell in to the wrong crowd.  It still shakes me up that this girl who is now a murdered was at the same school as Tez. 😔

On a happier note tomorrow is the Eurovision song contest!   Junk food is ready for a night of laughing and scoffing!!  Lol!!!!!

Colouring for adults

A few months ago I started getting Art Therapy magazine.  I'd done an art therapy class years ago and found it really helped me to unwind and relax.  So.I thought it would be a good idea to start again at home.  Then for my birthday a good friend gave me a colouring book so I treated myself to some good quality pencils and a few more colouring books and decided to set aside 20 mins per day to colour and use Mindfulness (short meditation).  It's done me the world of good and helps me relax.  Plus I've been trying to be online less so it's taken me off my phone and laptop which is a good thing!

I know some will think it's silly out childish but hey I'm 40 and I don't care!  Lol! I've created some lovely postcards that I've sent to family and I've got pictures I can use for cards or that just make me smile when I look at them.

I'm no artist.  I can't draw or paint, but I can colour and I'm loving learning about different pens, pencils, how to shade, what colours go together and what ones don't.

Madness! (not the band this time!!)

Yes I sobbed last night when Derek Shepherd was killed off in Greys Anatomy.  After 11 years I was so heart broken for Meredith that I was in tears.  However!!  I'm not going to join the 10,000s of people who have signed a 'Bring Back Derek' petition!!

Jeez it's TV!  Not real life and if it was they'd have a hard job bringing him back!!

I think it was all done perfectly.  The whole show was brilliant.  Having watched Greys from the start I can see that his death is going to cause some interesting new story lines. How will Mere cope with two young kids and poss another on the way,  how will his ex addict sister cope with him gone.  Don't get me wrong I'm very sad to see Patrick Dempsey go but I think it was the right time and in the right way.

Plus as I said it ain't real!!!!  If it was none of the stuff that had happened over 11 years would of happened!!  But some people do get funny about TV!  Is utter madness!!!

Election 2015

I try to keep politics off this blog.  Mainly because it's a personal choice who you vote for and it can get heated!  But I need a rant about local politics!

I love in North Swindon.  There are two seats in Swindon,  North and South.  the election is on Thursday and how many canvassers have we had round?  NONE.  As for leaflets we've had 2 or 3 Tory, 1 or 2 Labour, 1 Lib Dem and 1 Independent.  Now I know this is traditionally a Tory area but how can people choose if they don't hear all sides??!  I've never voted Tory in my life but to be honest I know more about the local Tory councillor than any of the others.  In fact until the independent and Lib Dem leaflets came through I didn't know there was any one else to vote for!!!!

I know of other areas that have been canvassed and others that have been bombarded with leaflets.  I don't get this 'well it's a tory area' attitude!  How will it ever be anything else if you don't stand up and be counted??!! 

For the first time I can see why people don't bother voting.  What's the point if you don't know what the other guy stands for??!

So this is a shout out to all Haydon Wick councillors.  GET OFF YOUR ARSE AND TELL US WHY WE SHOULD VOTE!
